Tyler Scarlet and Pure Restoration have been the best construction contracting company we have ever used. From the initial planning and design, demolition, construction, millwork and painting, to the final details of project completion, Tyler and his crew were professionals and a pleasure to work with. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism are exceptional.

We have worked with several contractors on previous projects. Some of these have been terrible experiences, including poor workmanship, generally unprofessional trades, and incompetent tracking of billing and payments. We have also used some very good contractors as well, but Tyler and his crew have been the best by a wide margin.

For context, we asked Tyler to build an enclosed porch over the back deck off of our main floor, which is elevated over a basement walkout. The project presented several challenges, which Tyler and his crew tackled positively and enthusiastically. Below are just a few of the many positive things we have to say about Pure:

Tyler met with us several times to understand the vision we wanted to achieve. He always made himself available for direct meetings at every step during the project.
After initial meetings, Tyler had drawings and schematics created showing the design. This made the renovation process much easier to visualize. He was incredibly helpful during this back-and-forth process to nail down our vision.
Tyler is very knowledgeable of the building process and keen to research and learn what is needed for the project.
Tyler’s demolition and framing crew were outstanding, making suggestions to improve our design (including giving us additional ceiling height).
He has an excellent aesthetic sense, and his finishing trades (millwork, painting) are outstanding.
Tyler is detail-oriented. If he was not happy with the craftsmanship or how something looked, he ensured it was fixed or completely redone.
Tyler’s tradesmen were extremely professional and respectful of our home and privacy. They only entered our home when absolutely necessary.
The building site was always kept clean and neat.
Tyler was always open to new ideas during the building process.
He didn’t take “no” for an answer from his trades if he believed something could be done.
Tyler was good at reigning in the project and discouraged unnecessary expenses.
Tyler is a bright, positive individual and a pleasure to work with.

We cannot stress how happy we are with the work Tyler and his crew at Pure Restoration did for us. The outcome was not only fantastic, but the entire process of completing it was a remarkably positive experience.
